What is the Longreads Store?

The Longreads store is the official storefront for Longreads. The profit from every purchase goes directly into our story fund, and helps pay for original journalism, short fiction, and exclusive essays and book excerpts from the best writers and publishers in the world.

Is this different from a Longreads Membership?

Yes! A Longreads Membership is a direct way to provide us with one-time or recurring monetary support. The Longreads Store is a different way to contribute (and receive swag at the same time).

If I sign up for a Longreads Membership, can I pick one of the tote bags from the Longreads store?

Not at this time. Longreads Members who contribute at least $50 are entitled to a complimentary tote bag featuring the Longreads logo. Enter your address in your profile if you’d like to receive a tote, and we’ll send one along automatically.

Where are Longreads items produced?

Our partners at Printful produce all our items in the U.S. and in Europe and don’t outsource any of the work to third parties.

What if there’s a problem with my order?

If an item you ordered arrives with a defect or never reaches you, send an email to support@longreads.com. Otherwise, all sales are final.
